About this program
Media Beef, Inc. operates this text message program to send operational alerts about the software platforms we run for our clients. The messages tell our team when something needs attention, such as a service outage or a spike in server load.
Who receives messages
Only people who have asked to receive alerts: Media Beef staff, and client technical staff who support the platforms we operate. The program is not open to the general public, and it is not used for marketing.
Message type and frequency
Messages are operational alerts only. They are sent when a monitored system fails or crosses an alert threshold, so volume is low, typically a handful of messages a month and sometimes none. There is no set schedule.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Media Beef does not charge for the alerts.
How to opt in
This website does not collect any information through forms. To opt in, send a written request by email to mike@mediabeef.com with your name, your role, your mobile number, and a statement that you agree to receive Media Beef System Alerts text messages. A Media Beef administrator then adds your number to the alert list and confirms with you. Consent to receive these messages is not a condition of any purchase or of employment.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive a single confirmation, and then no more messages. You can also email mike@mediabeef.com to be removed.

Carrier disclaimer
Wireless carriers and their affiliates are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Because alerts depend on carrier networks, they should not be your only way of learning about a critical outage.
